Great American Smokeout Day Takes Place Today

Today November 15 is the 31st Annual Great American Smokeout Day. It's a day that the American Cancer Society installed to get people to stop smoking for 24 hours or hopefully longer.

The Great American Smokeout Day falls on the third Thursday of November each year.

Hopefully, this will be the day that can start smokers onto their way to quitting.

438,000 Americans die from lung cancer each year.
