13-Year-Old Michigan Boy Charged with DUI, Father in Passenger Seat

A 13-year-old Michigan boy has been charged with drunken driving while his father, sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle at the time, is facing several charges of his own after police discovered the pair trying to get their truck out of a patch of mud.

The father had told police that he had his son drive the truck because he had too much to drink but officers quickly discovered that the 13-year-old had been drinking as well.

Several open bottles of beer and liquor were discovered in the truck.

While the younger boy will be facing charges of driving while intoxicated, his 41-year-old father is will be facing several misdemeanor counts related to child endangerment.
