Madeleine McCann abductor spotted by McCann friend
Tanner said she saw the man 45 minutes before Madeleine was discovered missing, and when the McCann’s discovered their daughter was gone she “endured huge amounts of agony, regret and remorse that she never made the connection.”
Tanner said she saw the man from behind but was able to give a description of what he and the child was wearing. A sketch of the man was released last month and shows a faceless figure carrying a little girl in pink pajamas in his arms. “I know what I saw. I think it’s important that people know what I saw because I believe Madeleine was abducted,” says Tanner.
Many believe the man in the sketch is Robert Murat, who was initially suspected but later cleared of any involvement in the case. Kate and Gerry McCann believe Madeleine was abducted and is now with a pedophile gang.
