China Attacks Google for Having “Intricate Ties” with U.S. Government

China’s roe with Google has taken on a new level after the country’s state media accused the search engine giant of sharing “intricate ties” with the U.S. government

According to the state-run news agency Xinhua Google has provided U.S. intelligence agencies with records of their search engine results and furthermore has attempted to impose American values on Chinese society.

In a report published by Xinhua the accusations were laid out saying “Google's high-level officials have intricate ties with the US government. It is also an open secret that some security experts in the Pentagon are from Google.”

Google has denied the accusations and have dismissed the claims as ridiculous. In January Google announced that it would no longer comply with China’s internet censorship laws and has threatened to shut down the site in China due to censorship as well as a hacking attack on the site.
