ABOUT US - CaymanMama.com dates back to September 12, 2004, the day Hurricane Ivan ravaged the serene landscape of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, devastating 75% of the island. Mr. Q the founder of CaymanMama, was trapped in Snug Harbor in the home of his landlord, Mr. Don Dilbert. Along with Don and Mr. Z, was Don’s elderly mother, her sister and two intensely brave Jamaicans. The entire house was demolished and there was an astonishing seven feet of ocean running through the home. The main concern was to save the elderly mother – so they strapped her to a mattress and held her in the ocean tied with ropes.
Astoundingly, the entire group held on to poles in a massive house for 36 hours! In sheer desperation, each one of the survivors committed to give something back to humanity. Hence, the founder, Mr. Q., created a way to contribute his savings and income for the people who need help the most. At present CaymanMama.com is in the testing phase and after the comprehensive launch, a certain percentage of the revenue will be distributed to victims who suffered a life-changing catastrophe like Ivan, Katrina and Tsunami.
Our social mission is to build opportunities for deserving individuals to end poverty and homelessness in the world. For submitting a Free story visit http://www.caymanmama.com
