A volcano under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier in Iceland
erupted Sunday, forcing hundreds of people to be evacuated from their homes.
More than 600 hundred people were evacuated amid flood
concerns. Scientists were monitoring the eruption, which could create dangerous
floods from the melting glacier.
Eyjafjallajokull is located about 100 miles east of the
capital, Reykjavik. The volcano last erupted in 1821.
There were no immediate reports of damages or injuries.
