Chris Paul to Make Hornets Comeback

NBA All-Star Might Help Team Come Back

After having missed 25 straight games with the New Orleans Hornets and eight games before that, NBA All-Star Chris Paul is ready to make his return. The only question is whether he will return on Monday night or on Wednesday night. Paul needed several weeks off to recover from a surgery on his left knee, but he is now antsy to get back on the court, at least partly to see how he can work with his temporary replacement Darren Collison. During Paul's absence, the Hornets went from a winning 25-21 record to an unimpressive 33-38. With those numbers, they are very close to being eliminated from the playoffs. Thus, the sooner Paul starts playing again, the better their chances will be at making the playoffs. After all, Chris Paul is the 2006 NBA Rookie of the Year, a 3-time NBA All-Star selection, and an Olympic Gold medalist. Hornets coach Jeff Bower said that "we will be seeing [Paul] soon . . . hopefully earlier in the week."
