That was an increase of 26 percent from the $390,000 the trade group spent in the same quarter a year earlier and nearly 7 percent higher than the $460,000 it spent in the third quarter of 2009.
The group, which is based in Arlington, Va., and includes such member companies as Microsoft Corp. and Apple Inc, also lobbied the Federal Government on legislation related to energy efficiency, trade and counterfeiting, intellectual property agreements and other issues, according to the report filed on Jan. 20.
