Despite all of the attention on the early voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire, Rudy Giuliani has been extending his lead nationally as Fred Thompson drops.
Patrick Rhamey of the University of Georgia published the predicted delegate counts of each of the candidates based on the state polls at USAElectionPolls.com and found that Rudy Giuliani has leaped to getting 59% of the delegates, up from 52% last month.
Fred Thompson is the candidate that has been struggling as he goes from 14% to 9% in the delegate count. Despite surges in the polls by Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul, they have not been able to translate that into delegates.
