NBA Schedule Tuesday March 23: Dallas Mavericks Look to End Two Game Skid, Denver Nuggets Head to Big Apple

The NBA schedule for Tuesday is light but three of the four games are significant as the playoff picture continues to unfold.

For the Dallas Mavericks the number one seed in the Western Conference is no longer a focus, they’ve turned their concerns to holding on to what they have. While the Mavs sit just one game behind the Denver Nuggets for the number two seed they have just a ½ game cushion over the Utah Jazz and a ½ game lead over the Phoenix Suns. Dallas is certainly shooting for not only home court in the opening round but a two or three seed so as to avoid the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round.

The Denver Nuggets are doing everything they can to hold on to their number two seed and on Tuesday they’ll travel to New York to face the Knicks in a game they should win. Denver remains one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA but the Western Conference is full of teams capable of making runs and the Nuggets would like to have home-court advantage for as long as they can.

Michael Jordan has majority ownership in the Charlotte Bobcats and now the NBA legend wants his team in the playoffs but it could be a fight. Charlotte currently sits eighth in the Eastern Conference, with just a 2 ½ game cushion over the Chicago Bulls. That being said, the Bobcats are even with the Toronto Raptors and are four games back of the fifth seed.
