NBA Schedule Wednesday March 24: Lakers Look to Extend Win Streak to Seven in Matchup with Spurs, Hawks and Magic Face Off in Eastern Conference Battle

The NBA has a full menu of games on Wednesday with several of the matchups pairing teams battling for playoff positioning. The Los Angeles Lakers will look to extend their win streak to seven games and solidify their spot as the Western Conference’s best team as they travel to take on the San Antonio Spurs while the Orlando Magic take on the Atlanta Hawks looking for their seventh straight against their Eastern Conference rival.

Atlanta will be hosting an Orlando team that has dominated them all year as the Hawks have had no answer for Dwight Howard. The Hawks are currently tied with the Boston Celtics for the third spot in the playoff picture and would love to find a way to avoid the Milwaukee Bucks in the opening round.

The Celtics will be hosting the Denver Nuggets with both teams looking for favorable playoff seeding. Boston has struggled with the top-notch teams all year but could send a message with a win over one of the Western Conference’s elite on Wednesday. For the Nuggets, a win on Wednesday would nudge them ahead of the idle Dallas Mavericks for the number two spot.

The number one spot in the Western Conference belongs to the Los Angeles Lakers and that position looks to be set for the playoffs. San Antonio still has plenty to play for as they currently sit in sixth but could easily move up to the fourth playoff spot with a win streak, securing home-court advantage for the first round.
