Asian Markets Surge on New Reports

Financial World News Update by Equities Magazine

Asian market made gains on Monday as positive economic reports and bullish U.S. sentiments early in the week promoted greater investor confidence.

The euro continued to decline against the dollar as Continental insecurity over the Greek debt crisis and its solution continue to loom.

Oil prices held high at $81 a barrel.

Reports regarding demand for automobiles and other electronics in Asia also pushed markets up. Japan’s economy grew over 45 percent from February of 2009 to February of 2010 data indicated. In the hours that followed the Nikkei 225 stock average tacked on 20.88 points of 0.4 percent to 10,815.03.

Elsewhere, Taiwan reported sharp gains in industrial production, signifying alongside other continental reports that global trade is creeping upwards.

 Hong Kong's main index lalso ascended 0.4 percent to 21,080.21 while Shanghai's market grew by 0.3 percent to 3,060.65.
