Doc Gooden DWI With Child Passenger
Former MLB Star Involved in Car Crash
Former New York Yankees pitcher Doc Gooden was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with a number of crimes. According to cops, Gooden had a child passenger in his car when he got into a car crash while under the influence of drugs. The charges that have been filed against him include the following: driving while under the influence (DWI) of drugs, DWI with a child passenger, endangering the welfare of a child, and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Sadly, this story may not come as a huge surprise to those who are familiar with the history of this baseball legend. In 2002, Gooden was arrested in Tampa and charged with driving while intoxicated. In 2005, he drove away from a traffic stop in Tampa, and the cop reported that Gooden smelled of alcohol.
Doc Gooden has a history of substance abuse, unfortunately, but he will also be remembered for being a star pitcher for the Yankees and for various other teams. He is a 4-time All-Star selection, a Silver Slugger Award winner, and a 3-time champion of the World Series. You can commemorate the career and remember the dramatic life of this baseball great with autographed baseball memorabilia from Hollywood Collectibles, including Doc Gooden signed baseballs, 1986 New York Mets team autographed framed photos, and even a Doc Gooden autographed jersey.
