Denver Airport Gets Thanksgiving Snow

Denver Airport Reports No Delays

Thanksgiving travelers expecting long waits due to the unexpected snow at the Denver airport on Wednesday were instead treated to a quick trip from curb to gate. The wintry storm that dropped up to nine inches of snow in the mountains bypassed the airport. Only about two inches of snow lay on the airport's grassy areas, though some parts of Denver reported as much as four inches.

Destination Villas reports that Denver Airport management has spent $31 million this year to increase snow-removal equipment after last years powerful winter storm that shut down the Denver Airport for two days during the Christmas holidays.

DestinationVillas.com reporter Tori Milan states that skiers are delighted with the earlier than usual snowfalls that have opened many of the resorts ahead of schedule.
Breckenridge, Keystone and Copper Mountain are all partially open with good packed powder conditions.
