Joran van der Sloot extradited to Aruba

Joran van der Sloot was re-arrested this week for questioning in the 2005 disappearance and possible death of Natalee Holloway. A district court judge in the Netherlands ordered Thursday that Sloot be extradited to Aruba.

Two other men, Deepak Kalpoe and Satish Kalpoe, have also been rearrested. The Kalpoe brothers and Sloot were originally arrested in the Holloway case but later released because of insufficient evidence. The three men were the last to see Holloway the night she went missing.

Prosecutors say the arrests were made after they found “new material in the investigation.” No more details are being released at this time. They would only say the evidence was “so important” that they arrested the men.

Sloot and the Kalpoes have been charged with voluntary manslaughter and causing serious bodily harm to Natalee Holloway resulting in her death. Holloway has never been found.
