Letter Claiming Stacy Peterson Sighting Sent to Husband

Drew Peterson, the husband of missing Illinois woman Stacy Peterson, received a letter on Wednesday from an individual claiming to have spotted his wife at a supermarket in another city in the state.

The letter stated that Peterson was seen with another individual shopping at a grocery store in Peoria, Illinois. Upon opening the letter, Drew Peterson notified police as well as his attorney.

Peterson, a former police sergeant, has been named a suspect in his wife’s disappearance and the recent letter has not done anything to clear his name. According to a friend of Stacy Peterson’s family there have been numerous letter sent claiming sightings.

In the letter addressed to Drew Peterson the individual hints that Stacey appeared pregnant.

It has been more than three-weeks since Stacy Peterson was reported missing. Just last week Drew Peterson resigned from his position with the Bolingbrook Police Department following an investigation into violations of department policies.
