CMS Energy’s President and CEO David Joos to Retire and Assume Position of Chairman of the Board of Directors

 

CMS Energy (NYSE: CMS) has announced that David W. Joos has elected to retire from his position as their President and CEO to assume the non-executive Chairmanship of the CMS Energy and Consumers Energy boards of directors at the May 21, 2010 at their annual meeting of shareholders.

He will succeed Ken Whipple, who served as the Chairman since 2002. Joos has served as the CMS Energy President and CEO, and Consumers Energy CEO since 2004.

 

John G. Russell will succeed Joos as the President and CEO of CMS Energy and Consumers Energy. Russell has also been nominated to join the CMS Energy and Consumers Energy Board of Directors. Since 2004, Russell served as the President and COO of Consumers Energy.

 

CMS Energy (NYSE: CMS) is a Michigan-based company that has an electric and natural gas utility, Consumers Energy, as its primary business and also owns and operates independent power generation businesses.
