Conmed Healthcare Management Inc. (Amex:CONM), which provides health care services to prisons, said Thursday that its profit climbed in the fourth quarter because of business with new jurisdictions.
Conmed's quarterly profit rose to $1.4 million, or 7 cents per share, from $19,000, or less than a penny per share, in the same quarter of 2008. Revenue increased 15 percent to $14 million from $12.2 million.
