South Korean Navy Ship Sinking Off West Coast Near North Korea, Torpedo Strike Suspected

A South Korean navy ship carrying about 100 personnel is currently sinking off the west coast near North Korea following a possible torpedo strike fired by an unidentified vessel.

According to reports the South Korean ship was sinking near Baengnyeong island after exchanging fire with a second ship but those report shad not been confirmed by the government.

What has been reported is an emergency meeting among South Korean officials to discuss the situation and a possible response.
