Police Believe “Baby Grace” May be Riley Ann Sawyers

Investigators are still awaiting DNA analysis to confirm the identity of a young girl whose body washed ashore last month off the Texas coast but police have tentatively identified the 2-year-old as Riley Ann Sawyers, a toddler who had been missing since June.

Police arrested Sawyers' parents on Saturday and charged them with injuring a child and tampering with physical evidence. Both Kimberly Dawn Trenor, 19, and Royce Clyde Zeigler II, 24, are being held with bond set at $350,000 for each.

The body of “Baby Grace” was discovered by a fisherman on an island off of Galveston on October 29. Police gave the child the name “Baby Grace” and appealed to the public for help in identifying the child.
