Iceland Tops List as World’s Most Desirable Country to Live In

Iceland knocked off Norway to top this year’s list of most desirable countries to live in according to an annual report published by the U.N.

Taking in factors that include life expectancy, education levels and real per capita income, the index used figures from 2005 to place Iceland number one.

Norway was knocked out of the top spot for the first time in six years and landed at number two on the list, followed by Australia, Canada and Ireland.

On the other end of the scale were sub-Saharan African countries which all fell into the category “low human development.”
