Google (GOOG) on a webpage dedicated to search service in Mainland China has been updating service interruptions and blockages. Google’s blog, photo sharing mechanism , You-Tube hook ups and a number of software applications have been blocked, or partially by the Chinese government according to the website.
Both organizations employing Google services and company’s own consumer services have been blocked. Last week, Google began discontinuing its mainland Chinese service after officials of the nation refused to permit uncensored searching. Google found a loop hole by redirecting Chinese traffic to their nearby Hong Kong site, which is not subject to the same censorship rules as the mainland search engine.
Google has no addressed whether its search service supplied through the Hong Kong are being blocked in mainland China
Shares of Google slipped slightly at midday on Monday at $562.20.
