CIGNA Corporation (NYSE: CI) announced today that Daniel Haron has been named president of CIGNA Pharmacy Management. Eric Elliott, who previously led CIGNA's pharmacy business along with other responsibilities, is leaving the company to become the CEO of Prime Therapeutics, a pharmacy benefit management company headquartered in Eagan, Minn.

Haron, who is a licensed pharmacist with a wide range of both pharmacy and leadership experience, joined CIGNA in 2007 as vice president of operations for CIGNA Tel-Drug Home Delivery Pharmacy.

Haron graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy after which he held positions of increasing responsibility at People’s Drug Stores, CVS Pharmacy, Arrow Prescription Centers and Brooks and Eckerd Pharmacy before joining CIGNA. He is affiliated with a number of pharmacy-related boards and associations. He has received several achievement awards, including an Alumni Achievement Award from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.
