Scientists to meet over Madeleine McCann DNA
The scientists will discuss DNA evidence found in the holiday apartment where Madeleine went missing and a car the McCann’s rented 25 days after the 4-year-old’s disappearance.
“Such a meeting should not be seen as surprising,” said Clarence Mitchell, a spokesperson for Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann. “We do not see it as a significant development.”
There has been no trace of Madeleine since she disappeared on May 3. Gerry and Kate McCann have been named official suspects in their daughter’s disappearance. Robert Murat, who lived near the McCann’s holiday apartment, was also named a suspect.
