A line of children’s full-zip hooded sweatshirts with drawstrings has been recalled after the clothing line was determined to present a strangulation hazard to individuals wearing the garments.
The Bon-Ton Department Stores Inc., has voluntarily recalled the sweatshirts after they were found to pose a threat of strangulation or entanglement on the neck.
Each of the recalled items have an “RN #39209” printed on their tag and were listed under the brand ‘Burnside.” The sweatshirts retailed for $18 to $30 at various stores including Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers stores nationwide while Parisian stores in Detroit carried the sweatshirts from August 2007 thru October 2007.
Individuals with the sweatshirts should immediately remove the drawstring from the sweatshirt or they can return the sweatshirt for a full refund.
