Relative fears he helped move Stacy Peterson body

A relative of Drew Peterson fears he may have helped move the body of Drew’s missing wife Stacy Peterson on the day she vanished. Drew, a former police officer, is suspected in his wife’s disappearance and her possible death.

Peterson reportedly asked his stepbrother, Thomas Morphey, to help him move a large plastic container from his home and into his SUV. After loading the container in the car, Peterson reportedly dropped Morphey back off at his own home. The container is said to be large enough to fit Stacey Peterson’s body.

After Morphy heard Stacey went missing he attempted to kill himself, according to reports. He was taken to a hospital where he was stabilized. Peterson’s camp claims Morphy had a history of mental problems.

Peterson’s attorney denied the 53 year old removed any sort of container from his home. A volunteer helping search for 23-year-old Stacey said police warned them to look out for a large blue plastic barrel.

“They actually even gave me a picture of what we might be looking for. It was certainly large enough to put her body in. She only weighed about a hundred pounds,” said Tim Miller, the founder of EquuSearch which organized the search for Stacey.

Peterson claims he had nothing to do with Stacey’s disappearance and claims she left him for another man. The former police sergeant’s third wife, Kathleen Savio, died in 2004 from what was ruled as an accidental drowning. Police have exhumed her body as they believe her death may have been a homicide staged to look like and accident.
