Federer and Williams Both Struggle to Win at Sony Ericsson Open

Federer Needs Two Tie Breakers to Win

Roger Federer has been uncharacteristically inconsistent at the Sony Ericsson Open at Key Biscayne.  In his match against Florent Serra, he lost his serve three times and committed 35 unforced errors.  He ultimately beat Serra however, having needed two tie-breakers to win.

Meanwhile Venus Williams also struggled to beat Daniela Hantuchova, having swept the final seven points after trailing most of the match.  Williams is the only American woman in the final 16.
