LED Concepts Develops Beautiful Backlit LED Light Boxes for Environmentally-friendly S. Congress Fine Jewelers

Eye-catching. Indoor Light Boxes with Direct Backlit LED Array Technology Increase Energy Efficiency to Help S. Congress Fine Jewelers Save the Environment

LED Concepts has installed a high performance, energy efficient Direct Backlit LED Array light box at S. Congress Fine Jewelers in Periwinkle Place in Sanibel Island, Florida. S. Congress Fine Jewelers is a Rolex and fine jewelry boutique specializing in an exclusive selection of elegant diamonds, colored gemstones and jewelry. S. Congress Jewelers was referred to LED Concepts by Rolex, a Swiss manufacturer of high quality, luxury wristwatches.

S. Congress Jewelers installed five wall inset LED illuminated light boxes on opposing walls in the luxury storefront.  The light boxes operate from LED Concepts’ unique power supply. S. Congress Jewelers is able to run low voltage wires throughout the building, without the need for metal conduit. The result is an energy saving light box system in the store with cost savings from both low voltage wiring and reduced installation costs.

The beautiful, energy saving light boxes uses Direct Backlit LED Array technology.  LEDs are solid-state light engines that last from 50,000 to 100,000 hours, compared to fluorescent lamps that only last from 8,000 to 20,000 hours.  LED illuminated light boxes provide up to 70% greater energy efficiency than fluorescent light boxes and enable users to qualify for energy and tax rebates. LED Concepts’ Direct Backlit LED Array technology uses an evenly distributed array of LED light engines to deliver brighter, more evenly distributed illumination of the light box graphic, while requiring a fraction of the energy required by fluorescent lighting.

LED Concepts’ energy efficient light boxes with Direct Backlit LED Array technology:

¨        Last up to seven times longer than a light box using T-8 fluorescent lamps.

¨        Do not radiate infrared heat (IR), reducing building heat load and decreasing air conditioning costs.

¨        Do not emit ultraviolet (UV) light, which reduces the fading of graphics.

¨        Do not contain heavy metal pollutants or toxic gases to operate, as with fluorescent lamps.

¨        Do not introduce mercury into landfills, as is the case with improperly disposed of fluorescent lamps.

¨        Reduce maintenance costs by eliminating fluorescent-lamp replacement by using LED technology.

¨        Can operate in harsh environments and withstand temperatures ranging from -40° F to +185° F. Fluorescent lamps have executable difficulties in cold environments.

The long life span, reduced maintenance costs and extreme durability of LEDs reduce CO2 emissions, reduce the associated carbon footprint and help protect the environment to ensure a stable climate for future generations.  The use of LED technology helps to save the environment.

Said Scot Congress, president of S. Congress Jewelers, “The images look great and really bring an elegant feel to the boutique.  We are thrilled with the visual impact, and the installation was efficient and simple to accomplish.”
