Plane Crash in Southern Turkey Leaves No Survivors

All 56 people aboard a flight from Istanbul to Isparta were killed after the Atlasjet Airlines plane they were traveling in went down in a mountainous region just moments before it was due to land.

The pilot had contacted the tower and was preparing to descend when the plane suddenly disappeared and crashed just north of Keciborlu.

Officials have recovered the voice box from the cockpit and will try to determine what caused the crash.  Conditions at the time of the plane crash were considered ideal, with no rain or wind, and the pilots were experienced crew members.
