Amtrak Passenger Train Collides with Freight Train in Chicago

Firefighters and rescue workers were called to the south side of Chicago on Friday after an Amtrak passenger train carrying at least 150 travelers slammed into a freight train.

According to Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford the Amtrak train came to a “very sudden stop” and caused several injuries to passengers aboard the train.

The extent of the injuries suffered have not been released.
