Plane Crash at Roanoke Regional Airport Kills 1

A small plane crash at a UPS freight terminal outside the Roanoke Regional Airport in Virginia Wednesday left the pilot dead and a passenger in critical condition.

According to reports, pilot Peter Sheeran reported flight control problems and turned back to the airport. The plane, a Piper Malibu, crashed around 1:10 p.m. The only passenger on board, John Whitmer, is in serious condition.
