Study finds disconnect between recruiting staff and staffing and recruiting firm management

Key findings of the report include:

·         Those with sales or business development as their fundamental role in staffing and recruiting firms are generally satisfied with their current front office.

·         Those who serve recruiting roles in staffing and recruiting firms are generally dissatisfied with their current front office.

·         A significant percentage of staffing and recruiting firms is not utilizing a truly integrated front office.

·         Most professionals (56 percent) currently use a vendor-provided system of one brand or another. A significant portion (29 percent) uses their respective firms’ in-house system.

·         Most use those systems in combination with Microsoft Outlook™, Excel™ and/or a manual system.

·         Recruiting and salespeople (business development) place varying levels of emphasis on the importance and potential impact of different front office features.

·         The higher the professional’s level of responsibility in the firm, the greater the tendency to express satisfaction with the front office. Conversely, the lower the professional’s level of responsibility, the greater the tendency to express dissatisfaction with the front office.
