Raquel Breezly was officially named Miss California USA 2008 after an error pegged Christina Silva the winner last week. Breezly will now represent the state in April in the Miss USA Pageant.
The pageant's state director, Keith Lewis, said several judges questioned the results of the Nov. 25 competition at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. Lewis, who was a judge on the VH1 show "Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School", said the error was discovered the next day after the ballots were opened and recounted.
Officials deemed it a human error.
Initially, Silva was named the queen, while Breezly was the second runner-up. Silva relinquished the title, but has hired an attorney.
