NBA Schedule Friday April 2: LeBron James and Cleveland Cavaliers Host Atlanta Hawks in Eastern Conference Showdown Kobe and the Lakers Face Jazz

The NBA has ten games on the schedule for Friday, April 2 with three of those games being previews to possible second round matchups in the NBA playoffs.

While neither team has truly grabbed headlines the Milwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Bobcats are both heading to the Eastern Conference playoffs and on Friday they meet in what could be a second round showdown. The Bucks are sitting ½ game ahead of the Miami Heat for the fifth spot while the Bobcats are 2 games up on the Toronto Raptors for the seventh spot.

LeBron James would love to send a message when his Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. The Cavs have wrapped up the Eastern Conference and will be the number one seed and are almost certainly going to have home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. While the Cavs can cruise they don’t want to let up against a Hawks team that they could face in the second round. As it stands the Hawks are in the third spot in the playoffs with a game lead over the Boston Celtics.

Perhaps the most interesting game of the night will be Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Utah Jazz. For many fans the Jazz snuck up in the Western Conference but as one of the hottest teams in the NBA Utah is now sitting in the number two spot in the Western Conference, 4 ½ games behind LA. Much like the Cavs want to send a message to the Hawks, the Lakers don’t want the Jazz to think they’ll be coming in on their floor and walking out with a  win.
