KB Home (NYSE:KBH) has entered into a partnership with the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense program. KB Home intends to be the first homebuilder in the country to construct homes meeting the program’s specification. That means that the homes must use 20% less water than conventional homes which will result in homeowners saving over 10,000 gallons of water per year. KB will do this through their My Home. My Earth product options and WaterSense labeled shower heads, faucets, and toilets. Completed homes must pass an inspection and receive certification by a third party rater to ensure a more efficient and comfortable home.
