Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul appeared on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday and clearly held his own against the all female panel.
Paul became the first Republican candidate to take on the task and despite the liberal-minded quartet of women on the couch the Congressman had no problem handling the observations and questions they addressed.
Co-host Joy Behar did her best to rile Paul with her quip about Paul’s chances of winning the presidential election saying, “you probably are not going to win and you know that.” Behar followed that up with a question about who Paul would vote for in the Republican race.
Paul answered back, “You want those pro-war people to win? No, you don't. ... If they come around endorsing my anti-war views, and pro-free-markets and sound money, yeah I would consider it, but I don't have anybody now that I could vote for.”
Much of the conversation was dominated by the topic of abortion yet Paul didn’t give in to the pro-choice push from Behar who once again questioned Paul’s defense of personal rights but not of women’s right to choose.
