Avant Signs with Capitol Records

R&B star Avant recently signed with Capitol Records. The singer previously released a total of four albums under Geffen Records.

Avant will release his upcoming album in the summer of 2008. The set will feature production from Rodney Jerkins and DJ Smurf.

Avant will also be touring with TGT, the R&B trio made up of singers Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank next year.

Avant's 2000 debut album, "My Thoughts," has sold more than 1 million copies in the United States.
