Sgt. Jill Stevens, the reigning Miss Utah, has added yet another organization to her resume as she prepares for the Miss America Pageant.
Stevens wants to bring Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training into every high school in America, starting with her hometown of Provo, Utah.
The 24-year old army medic is a member of the Utah National Guard's 1st Battalion, 211th Aviation Regiment. Stevens joined the Army National Guard six months before 9/11. She was deployed to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan two years later.
The 2008 Miss America Pageant will be aired on January 26 in Las Vegas on TLC.
