NFL News: Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb Heading to Washington Redskins

The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly reached a deal to send Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins for a second round draft pick this year and a third or fourth round pick the following year.

Philadelphia has been shopping McNabb since the offseason, not wanting to pay the 11-year vet a $6.2 million roster bonus due on May 5. McNabb is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2010 season.

With the trade the Eagles would almost certainly go with Kevin Kolb as their starting quarterback while Michael Vick would become the team’s backup QB.
