Joran van der Sloot, one of three suspects in the disappearance and presumed murder of American teenager Natalee Holloway, has been ordered released by an Aruban judge on Friday.
Van der Sloot, along with brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe, were originally arrested in 2005 when Holloway disappeared while vacationing on the island with a group of her graduating high school class. The three were eventually released when it was determined that the prosecution had insufficient evidence to hold the three any longer.
Last month the three were rearrested after prosecutors declared they had new evidence in the case that would prove their involvement. Both Deepak and Satish were held for more than two weeks before being released.
All three men have maintained their innocence in the case.
