It was reported on Friday that NBA Champion Kobe Bryant had signed a three-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers. The deal, which is worth almost $90 million, will keep Bryant with the Lakers until 2004 and will pay him more than $30 million in each of the last 2 years of the extension. Lakers coach Phil Jackson said, I expected that Kobe would sign. It’s a good choice for him and the organization.” Indeed it is.
