Starbucks Recall Issued for 167,000 Coffee Mugs

Starbucks Coffee Co. issued a voluntary recall of 167,000 coffee mugs sold in their stores after it was discovered the plastic handle of the coffee mug could detach from the rest of the mug when it was filled with a hot liquid.

Sold under the name Starbucks Fusion Coffee Mugs, the 14 oz. mugs have resulted in at least nine minor burns while the company has received 23 reports of broken handles.

Individuals who own the Starbucks Fusion Coffee Mugs should stop using them immediately and contact Starbucks for information about how to receive a full refund.
