Christmas Parade Ends in Tragedy as 9-Year-old Boy Killed by Float

A 9-year-old boy passing out candy at a Plant City, Florida Christmas parade was killed when he was run over by a float on Friday.

The young boy had been traveling the parade route and handing out candy as a member of the Greater Heights Worship Center when he was caught under their float.

After returning to the float to retrieve more candy his leg became entangle in one of the wheels and he was pulled under the vehicle. He was rushed to the South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City in extremely critical condition but died from the injuries.
