Natalee Holloway Case Could be Closed by End of Year

After more than two years without any solid evidence linking suspects to the disappearance and murder of American teenager Natalee Holloway, Aruba’s chief prosecutor Hans Mos has said the case will likely be closed at the end of the year unless there is strong enough evidence appears to go to trail.

An Aruban judge recently released the three men who have been the focus of the Holloway investigation for the majority of case. Brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe were released almost two weeks ago while Joran van der Sloot was released last week after it was determined there wasn’t enough evidence to try the men.

Natalee Holloway had traveled to Aruba with several classmates from her Alabama high school in May 2005. On the group’s final day on the island Holloway never showed at the airport. The Kalpoe brothers and van der Sloot are believed to be the last people to see her alive.
