Drug Addict Drop-out Free to Live

One teen almost didn't survive his drug use

Prescription painkillers are now the drug user's drug of choice. In fact, 1 in 10 high school teens abuse them over other drugs. 25 percent of drug related emergency room visits have to do with abuse of prescription drugs. One teen almost didn't survive his drug use hampered with muddy thoughts and blank periods robbing him his life quality, not even being able to simple life events due to drug use.  Arriving at Narconon Georgia this young adult got his second chance.

Pharmaceutical companies have remained profitable investments throughout a down U.S. economy. Drug ads have flooded the media in all forms causing more and more people to "ask their doctor" about getting a prescription drug. The result is best stated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) "We are a pill-taking society. Many of us believe there's a pill for anything and everything that ails us, improving our appearance, performance and mood...We are being bombarded with advertisements about the benefits of these drugs...Just because something comes from a drug store doesn't make it safe to abuse."

The result for our children is how one Narconon Georgia student arrived completely broken, mentally fogged and out of control in his life.  Every substance he abused was to the profit of some drug dealer or drug company and to his own personal liability.

Narconon Georgia is a non-profit drug prevention, education and rehabilitation organization. The student J.I., began the Narconon program introverted and un-functional in life. A drop-out student with no hope of ever completing college given his clouded memory due to drug use. However, after going through the initial steps of the Narconon program, including the New Life Detoxification program that consists of precise nutritional supplements and sauna sweating under close supervision, the mental cloud J.I. was going to have to live with was gone.

J.I. writes, "I feel so good right now, my mind is so clear - even my dreams... I haven't been able to think clearly for years, it was like there was a permanent cloud in my head, but now I think with no problem and this makes me realize how excited I am to get back to school."

By continuing the Narconon Georgia program J.I. writes. "I am so focused in my life now, I have control of my life, I have control of my actions, my decisions and things that I can do to affect my life in a positive way and it's new and exciting.  I just can't wait to live the rest of my life."

Imagine being the parent of J.I. and hearing his success after the Narconon program. The drug dealers didn't ruin his life no matter the profits they reaped in trying. Narconon opposes drug abuse and delivers drug education lectures in schools to prevent it.  However, it is against a continual onslaught of pharmaceutical company ads that only in recent years have been allowed by Congress, in addition to the celebrity promoted street drugs that are directed at our youth.
