Nevada school bus stop shooting leaves 6 wounded

A shooting at Clark County school bus stop has left 6 students wounded. The shooting happened yesterday evening when a group of Mojave High School students got off a school bus in northeastern Las Vegas and were believed to have been arguing about a girl.

Police believe the shooting was linked to a fight that occurred at the high school earlier that day. Three male students were arrested at the school after police broke up the fight. “At this point, the indicators that we have found….it’s a dispute over a girlfriend,” said Sherriff Doug Gillespie.

At least two suspects in the shooting were waiting at the stop for the bus to arrive. Four students, at least two boys and one girl, were shot in the arms and legs. All four were treated at a hospital and released. Two other victims, and 18-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, were in serious condition at the hospital. Both has gunshot wounds to the torso. It is unclear if the two boys were on the bus.

Police say suspects and witnesses fled the bus stop when authorities arrived. 9 mm .45-caliber shell casings were found at the scene. Authorities were still searching for the two suspects late Tuesday.
