Drew Peterson website seeks money donations

Drew Peterson has set up a website which seeks money donations to put towards his legal defense in his wife Stacey Peterson’s disappearance and possible murder. The former Illinois police officer is a suspect in Stacey’s disappearance.

Peterson’s website, DefendDrew.com, claims he wants to collect money donations for his legal bills and to hire a private investigator to find his 23-year-old wife. If any money remains it will be put into a trust fund for Peterson’s four children, two of which are by Stacey.

“For the cost of a few cups of your morning coffee, you can help ensure that Drew can afford to support his ongoing legal defense, find his missing wife, and divert any remaining funds into a trust for his children,” says the site.

Peterson’s attorney, Joel Brodsky, said Peterson will have no control over the trust account.

The 53-year-old quit his job as a Bolingbrook Police Officer after Stacey disappeared in late October. He claimed she left him for another man, but Stacey’s family insists she would never leave her two children and says she admitted she was scared of Drew. He denies any involvement in her in her disappearance.

Investigators are searching in surrounding areas and canals for Stacey. The body of Drew’s third wife, Kathleen Savio, has been exhumed as police now believe her death was not an accident as it was first ruled in 2004.
