Baby Stroller Recall Issued after Wheel Problem Reported

A stroller recall for the Xplory Baby Strollers has been announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission after several reports of a front wheel falling off and one incident in which a toddler fell out of the stroller and received a scratch.

The baby stroller recall involves only the Xplory models with serial numbers between 1 and 28,097 with grey handles. The baby strollers with white handles are not part of the recall.

According to the report a bolt that attaches to each front wheel to the stroller can come loose and cause a wheel to fall off. The strollers were distributed through Stokke LLC and retailed for about $770.

Individuals with this stroller should contact Stokke to receive a free replacement of the front wheels. For more information about this recall please contact Stokke at (877) 978-6553 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit the firm’s Web site at www.stokkeusa.com
