MLB Schedule Friday April 9: San Francisco Giants Look to Stay Perfect Against Atlanta Braves, Yankees and Rays Face Off on AL East Series
Less than one week into the Major League baseball season and there is just one unbeaten team remaining, the San Francisco Giants. The Giants will put that 3-0 record on the line when they host the Atlanta Braves on Friday and it should be a pitcher’s duel as San Fran puts Jonathan Sanchez on the hill to challenge Tim Hudson.
After taking two of three from the Boston Red Sox the New York Yankees will stay on the road and face the Tampa Bay Rays in a showdown of 2-1 clubs. Tampa collected a pair of one-run wins against the Baltimore Orioles but they’ll be facing a hot hitting club that can put a lot of runs on the board.
The Red Sox will look to right the ship against the Kansas City Royals who sit at 1-2 after their season opening series against the Detroit Tigers.
Albert Pujols and the St. Louis Cardinals will square off against Prince Fielder and the Milwaukee Brewers in what could be a season long battle between NL Central rivals.
