Of the four early state primaries that most people have their eyes on, None of the top candidates have a clear lock on the top spot. According to poll results posted at usaelectionpolls.com, McCain has a second place nod of 20 percent in Nevada, but the surprise is in New Hampshire where he has ascended into a 16 percent rating from probable Republican Voters.
The Arizona Senator is also seeing a slight increase in South Carolina despite his siding with the president on immigration issues, something many voters in the state as well as in Iowa are interested. Mike Huckabee leads in Iowa with 32 percent with second place held by Mitt Romney with 20 percent. Rudy Giuliani has 25 percent in Nevada, with Romney in second with 20 percent. In New Hampshire, Romney holds first place with 25 percent to Giuliani's 17 percent for second place and in South Carolina, Huckabee holds the top spot with 20 percent, ahead of Romney's 15 percent.
As primary election season draws closer, sniping among the candidates, with Romney firing the first salvo against Huckabee on immigration, other candidates are beginning to pick up steam. Recently, McCain made s surge in his poll numbers, almost even with Giuliani in New Hampshire with 16 percent for third place.
McCain is stepping up his appearance in the primary states and is posting his message online as well as offering a steady, unwavering message at all gatherings. His campaign believes that although there is ground to make up, there is still time for voters to receive the message for which he stands.
